Volunteers Required for New Ringwood Road Speedwatch Team

Do you have just a few hours to spare each month to make your community and local road safer?

With the impending introduction of the extended 30mph speed limit Ringwood Road, we need help from residents to form a localised Speedwatch team.

Similar to the role already performed by our Ferndown Community Speedwatch team, the focus will be to carry out roadside monitoring, at an agreed time, on Ringwood Road using a speed radar gun.

This will help us to promote and enforce the new speed limit.

Example of typical volunteers

All of the necessary equipment and support will be provided by our Ferndown CSW co-ordinator with

training given by our Neighbourhood Police Team and you would only need to commit a very few hours each month.

For more information on CSW generally please visit – https://www.communityspeedwatch.org/

To be able introduce this service we will need a co-ordinator and at least four volunteers.

If you are interested and would like more information please call or message me on 07592 790199 or email the SFRA at South Ferndown Residents Association and they will forward your message to me. Please put CSW in the subject field .

Thank you.
